Welcome to LevyIO ("LevyIO", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of levyio.com and the calculators, articles, and resources offered on the Site. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and LevyIO. We may update them from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If the changes are material, we will highlight them on this page for at least 30 days.

2. Description of Service

LevyIO provides free, web-based tax calculators, educational articles, and reference material covering U.S. federal and state taxation. Tools include calculators for income tax, paycheck withholding, capital gains, self-employment tax, property tax, sales tax, estate tax, crypto taxation, quarterly estimated tax, and related topics. The Site is an informational resource and is not a tax preparation service.

3. Not Tax, Legal, or Financial Advice

LevyIO is not a CPA, tax attorney, enrolled agent, financial advisor, or any other kind of licensed tax professional. Nothing on this Site constitutes tax, legal, financial, investment, or accounting advice. All content — including calculator results, articles, guides, and statistics — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.

Tax law is complex and highly dependent on individual circumstances. Before making any decision with tax consequences (filing a return, claiming a deduction or credit, making estimated payments, selling appreciated property, executing a Roth conversion, forming a business, and similar), consult a qualified tax professional licensed in your jurisdiction.

4. Calculator Accuracy and Limitations

We use current IRS brackets, standard deductions, and commonly applicable formulas for tax year 2026. However, calculator results are estimates, not determinations of actual tax liability. Results may differ from the tax you actually owe for reasons including but not limited to:

  • State and local taxes not fully modeled, or modeled with simplified rules
  • Credits, phase-outs, and exceptions not represented by a calculator
  • Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT), Net Investment Income Tax, Additional Medicare Tax, and similar add-ons
  • Employer benefits, pre-tax contributions, and deductions that depend on documentation
  • Mid-year law changes, inflation adjustments, or IRS guidance issued after publication
  • Individual circumstances not captured by the calculator's inputs

You are responsible for verifying any numbers against the IRS instructions, your tax software, or your tax professional before relying on them. LevyIO makes no warranty that calculator results are complete, accurate, or current.

5. Permitted Use

You may use LevyIO only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the Site, its servers, or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape, mirror, or systematically copy content from the Site without written permission.
  • Use automated scripts to generate load or circumvent rate limiting.
  • Reverse-engineer calculator logic or re-publish it as your own service.
  • Use the Site to transmit malware, spam, or any harmful content.
  • Represent, imply, or suggest LevyIO endorses any product, service, or third party.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on LevyIO — including text, calculators, logos, page layouts, article series, methodology explanations, data compilations, and design elements — is the property of LevyIO or its content contributors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, print, and share individual pages for personal, non-commercial use, and you may link to the Site from your own website or social media. You may not reproduce, redistribute, republish, sublicense, or create derivative works from LevyIO content without our prior written consent.

7. Third-Party Content and Advertising

The Site contains advertising served by third parties (including Google AdSense and other ad networks), as well as references and links to third-party websites such as IRS.gov, state tax authorities, and related publications. LevyIO does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites or advertisers. Inclusion of an advertisement or link is not an endorsement.

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LEVYIO AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO UNDERPAID OR OVERPAID TAXES, PENALTIES, INTEREST, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, OR PROFESSIONAL FEES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LevyIO, its operators, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any right of another party.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, indemnities, and limitations of liability — will survive.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which LevyIO is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

14. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies posted on the Site, constitute the entire agreement between you and LevyIO regarding the Site and supersede all prior agreements.
